Datch and his band are no longer confined to Bellatrix and in this book travel the stars to visit other worlds in search of a gem. The gems location is on a data cube that Datch found in Hagger's dad's draw after he had been eaten by the arachnoid. It pointed to a star system but the exact location is a mystery. They head off into the stars to find it. They get sand in places where they don't want it and almost kidnap a monk on the most boring planet in the galaxy where singing is illegal.
Just a small part of the Adventure
“So, when are we kidnapping the monk?” Asked Hagger.
“We are not kidnapping the monk!” said Datch.
“No, we’re just going to talk him into coming with us and hope his head does not explode when we show him the gem.” Added Tish.
“Why is it that most of this trip has consisted of comments about things exploding or being blown up?” Asked Dapo.
“Don’t forget ransacking of temples, destruction of religious symbols and kidnaping.” Said Hagger making sure they didn’t miss anything.
Datch gave out a long sigh.
“OK, we may have sort of ransacked a temple, broken a symbol and put a monk into some sort of religious coma. But we mean well and once the gem is back in place, I’m sure everyone will be happy.”
“So, when do we nobble the monk?” Asked Peebop.
Datch gave up and just carried on.
